Designing for Active Culture
Marking the next chapter in Jerudong International School’s architectural evolution, the new Sports Complex stands as an inspirational addition to the vibrant JIS campus. Designed with a strong and thoughtful philosophy, the complex is not just a building—it’s a reflection of movement, interaction, and cultural flow.
The design takes inspiration from the intricate layout of a circuit board—an emblem of connectivity, precision, and energy. This idea was abstracted into architectural lines, spatial rhythms, and the overall campus layout. Much like a circuit board, the facility interconnects various program blocks. These connecting pathways aren’t just physical—they represent the intangible threads of culture, collaboration, and school spirit.
At its heart, this complex is more than a sporting facility. It is a platform where sports culture is not only celebrated but also cultivated—supported by rigorous feasibility studies, a clear design narrative, and spatial planning that respects both form and function.
