Before any redevelopment began, a conservation assessment was carried out to safeguard the building's original character. Key structural and decorative elements were carefully identified and preserved, ensuring the legacy of the site remained intact while integrating modern functions and technology.
The scope consisted of the building facelift, structural repair and strengthening, M&E works, designing galleries that comprises of three galleries that articulates the story of Oil and Gas Industry in Brunei and One gallery dedicated for multi-use.
