The Abode is a distinctive luxury glamping development set along the serene banks of the Labu River,Temburong district, offering an immersive experience where high-end comfort meets the untouched beauty of nature. Every aspect of the design reflects sensitivity to the site’s unique setting. With minimal built footprint and low environmental impact as guiding principles, the layout and material choices honour local cultural practices and ecological stewardship. The result is a seamless integration of architecture and nature—where guests can reconnect with the land in comfort, peace, and authenticity. The resort operates on 100% off grid solar power.
Constructed using locally sourced materials—including bamboo and other natural elements—the project consists of a series of light-impact structures that can accommodate up to 100 guests. The retreat features safari-style chalets, a restaurant, a multipurpose hall, and a children’s playground, all thoughtfully arranged to immerse visitors in the surrounding tropical environment. As the Architect & Project manager during the development of this project, The Abode stands as one of our most sustainable project reference to date.
